During the warm months of the year, I always prefer eating seasonal (hence local) fruits, especially cherries and all the berries out there.
Yet there are days when I crave some exotic taste so I still end up dropping a mango in my supermarket basket. Which, to be honest, is not on my top fruits list!
When I add it to a smoothie though, I enjoy its sweet and sour notes so much that I’d drink it in my biggest smoothie jar.
So here’s one of my preferred breakfast smoothies, a sweet-sour taste with a delicious creamy consistency.
1 tbsp flaxseeds (for their omega 3 fatty acids)
1/4 cups or 6-8 cashews (for their magnesium content)
*dried blueberries on top (for their antioxidants)
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for approx. 2 minutes or until it becomes smooth to your liking.
