I’ve always liked cities that are crossed by waters. Lakes, rivers, seas, whatever the form, that endless blue makes every walk more enjoyable. The largest city in Switzerland not only lies at the north end of beautiful Lake Zürich, but also embraces the Limmat River with its calm and pitoresque old town. It’s already the 4th time I was there and I can definitely say that, beyond its finacial prosperity and recognized well-being, Zürich is one of the world’s most liveable cities mainly thanks to the abundance of outdoor activities it offers.
